Another Squirrel poem.

A Squirrel

A Squirrel doesn't strive to be something it is not.

A Squirrel seems to me, to be happy with it's lot.

Holding the Acorn in it's paws,

And nibbling carefully with its jaws,

or scurrying off to find its stores,

A Squirrel doesn't strive to be something it is not.

-

A Squirrel can do many things,

But some things it cannot do.

It doesn't try in any way to mimic me or you.

Nor does it try, to rectify, the things it cannot change.

'cos if it did, it'd blow its lid.

well that really would be strange.

No.

A Squirrel doesn't strive to be something it is not.

A Squirrel seems to me, to be happy with it's lot.

Holding the Acorn in it's paws,

And nibbling carefully with its jaws,

or scurrying off to find its stores,

A Squirrel doesn't strive to be something it is not.
