Often we get hurt when we become the victim of injustice. If that's
you then give the problem to Jesus in prayer and watch what happens.
This poem is dedicated to my sister Virginia.
No Smooth Ride
-
It's not easy when you're in it,
and the enemy surrounds.
And the place in which you stand,
seems like shaky ground.
When the enemy moves in closer,
with his taunts and hurtful jibe.
And it seems that you'll go under,
how on earth will you survive?
-
When he uses other Christian's,
who no longer seem to care,
Yet for them and their families,
you are always there.
When your character is besmeared,
your reputation on the line.
Why should all this happen
when things were going fine?
-
Well there's no smooth ride for Christians,
who are fighting at the front.
But the Armour that they wear,
makes sharp arrows seem quite blunt.
And should an arrow pierce,
and wound right to the heart.
Well we know that from God's
Love not even that can part.
-
So take heart wounded Christian,
for another took your place,
So that you don't need to die,
in humiliation and disgrace.
And the first aid post you're carried to,
look who is in command,
It's the Saviour there to heal your wounds,
with his nail pierced hands.
