I woke early one morning and this poem came to me.
I was impressed by the Sunrise and the fact that it was a warm dry Summer morning, with birds singing like they do.
Then I thought would I feel the same if it was raining.
Lord I Praise You.
-
Lord I praise you for the morning,
Lord I praise you for it's dawning,
Lord I praise you for the beauty of the sky.
I praise you for the bird,
Who's song is sweetly heard,
As if it somehow echoes my hearts cry.
-
Lord I praise you for the night,
Lord I praise you for the light,
Lord I praise you for the brightness of the Sun.
Lord I praise you for the sound,
Of stillness all around,
And the way the darkness simply has to run.
-
Lord I praise you for the rain,
Lord I praise you once again,
Lord I praise you for the puddles I walk by.
Lord I praise you for the way,
It rains and rains all day,
'Till not a single open space is dry.
