Long Play Tape

How much tape would it take,
To record everything you did?
And how long would it take to play,
The good things on that vid?

How long would it take you,
To edit out the wrong?
Or transfer the good to another tape.
Would it take you long?
-
What measure would you use,
To judge the good what's more?
What would you do with the out takes,
Upon the cutting room floor?

It's certainly food for thought.
That concept wouldn't you say?
All that idle gossip,
Spoken everyday.
-
So is that three million metres?
Four, five, or six or seven?
Every idle word you say,
Is being recorded in Heaven.
