We need to take time out to listen, to each other and to God..
Be still and know that I am God Psalm 46:10.
LISTEN
-
Listen if you will,
but you must be very still,
Or you won't hear.
-
When the music's playing loud,
And you're mixing with the crowd,
And the lights are flashing.
Or when you're in the swimming bath,
And you're having a right laugh,
And the waters splashing.
-
When you're walking pretty fast,
Noisy traffic's whizzing past,
And you're really in a hurry.
Or when you're sitting at the table,
With Uncle Alf and Auntie Mable,
Eating that hot curry.
-
When you're lounging watching telly,
With Uncle Ted and Auntie Nellie,
And the sound is really loud,
And some Britton gets a medal.
On his bike he had to pedal,
And you're really feeling proud.
-
When you're lying in your bed,
Thoughts are whizzing round your head,
Perhaps then you've time to be still and listen.
