It amazes me how sometimes in town I become invisible, people bump into me, and often don't say sorry. But then sometimes in an unguarded moment I am liable to do the same, as this poem shows. It's much better to slow down after all, 'more haste less speed'

In a hurry

Why oh why can't people look where they're going?
It's not as if I'm small,
In fact I'm fairly tall.
So why oh why can't people look where they're going?
-
I mean he walked into me as if I wasn't there,
He nearly knocked me flat,
can you imagine that.
Why oh why can't people Look where they're going?

He must have been in a right hurry,
because he never said he was sorry.
You know it's such a crime,
gosh is that the time.
If I'm late again,
I'll never hear the end of it from Jane.
Why oh why can't people look where their going?

Dash around the corner nearly there.
Anyone would think that I didn't care.
Oh sorry love was that your foot,
I'd stop and help pick your shopping up but,
Why oh why can't people look where they're going?
