Free Will Your Choice
-
If I was a puppet, every movement by a string.
Or if I was a robot, programmed by what's put in,
And every move I made was forced,
By the maker, then of course.
I would have no sin.
-
If my thoughts were all controlled,
By He who made me do as I'm told,
Then I could not be very bold,
Unless he told me to.
-
And if my actions were all remote,
And I had no cause to vote,
Then I could never act the goat,
Unless he made me do.
-
I would not want to give Him praise,
Or in song, my voice to raise.
My eyes well, they would just look glazed,.
or expressionless..
No love in them you'd see,
When you looked at me,
Just dark and compassionless.
-
But look, God made me as I am,
To fit in his mysterious plan.
To live in the realm of man
and here to love.
-
Not a puppet, zombie or robot,
for a free will I've got.
With Jesus to cast my lot,
He who came from above.
-
Yes, and it's specially at Easter time,
When we remember how He of no crime,
Was made to suffer, real not mime.
upon a wretched cross.
-
How He was bruised and battered,
Tormented, teased and nattered,
With every scorching breath more shattered,
He paid the cost.
-
But He was resurrected,
Joyful not dejected,
We need not feel neglected,
Because He loves us so.
-
And so it is my choice,
To tell you with my voice,
That you too can rejoice,
You have free will you know.
