A lonely lady
-
As I sit in my chair at night,
Hoping that someone just might,
Open my door just to say,
Well dear, did you have a good day?
-
There is not much on telly to see,
So I'll make myself a nice cup of tea.
Then I'll do a bit of knitting,
It'll be a change from just sitting,
-
What can I do just to pass the time,
I think I will go to a sunny clime.
By looking at all my photographs,
At least I will be able to have some good laughs.
-
My book I have almost read.
It's nearly time to go to bed.
It's so very dark outside,
But I am cosy and warm inside.
-
It is now time I retired,
For I am feeling very tired.
Seems no one is going to ring to say,
Good night and hope you have had a lovely day.
